Foreseeing the projects future.
Envisioning a continuation of this project I now visualize an outcome that is more inclusive, instead of producing garments with the sensors pre incorporated into them, I propose the development of a sensor and suitable sensor case that is magnetically attached to any garment to transform it into a smart garment. Granting greater diversity, as it removes the necessity to choose a specific consumer group to design for, as individuals can use the device on any of their own garments, giving greater longevity to the project as it will not adhere to the trend driven nature of fashion.
On a personal note, the findings of this project will be expanded within my PHD at MMU, I now comprehend the values of both the physical and digital worlds for progressing individuals’ mental health and the way we experience our everyday lives. I intend to use this knowledge to help me develop my PHD research proposal, which was originally based on tactile real world technical developments, but I now intend to incorporate Metaverse developments as well, to develop a novel well researched project.
